United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Dunkeld Hilton has its own dog kennels for customers dogs. Kept as nice and clean as the hotel bedrooms.

If you go to the House of Bruar - do take a walk to see the waterfalls out the back. They are some of the best series of waterfalls in Scotland and are surprisingly little known. Good path and some old Victorian viewing points along the path, but, do take care (especially if you have kids) as there have been a number of accidents with people getting too close to the edge and falling in Crying or Very sad

Some great drives from Dunkeld - such as over "the Hill Road" to Kenmore - nice Hotel / bar meals there and then over past Schiehallion and down to Tummel Bridge - then along the valley past the Queens View to Pitlochery etc. The Sport is a fantastic car to enjoy those routes (great viewing platform, assured in steep twisty climbs / descents and you can safely pull off the very narrow road if you meet something coming the other way). RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

ASH555, Smarticus summed it up - a great drive.
i can reccommend staying/eating at the Kenmore Hotel - but book one of the cottages across the road, by the entrance to the golf club. More privacy for you and the dogs. Book a table for lunch looking over the River Tay.
Enjoy the Dunkeld experience - I have thought about doing this often. Post your pics please.

If you take want to venture onto unclassified roads that will not be kept clear of snow then the road from Amulree to Kenmore is a cracker, loads of hairpins, amazing gradients and single tracks all metalled (with plenty of added potholes for that off road feel). This is the area that I took the August Scottish road run to. At Kenmore there is also a prehistoric village on stills out on Loch Tay that is worth a visit. Also on the north side of Loch Tay you can take the road over the hills to Glen Lyon then turn left and drive to the head of the valley and left again to go back over the tops down into Killin. Let me know if you are going to try any of the routes and I will come and drive them with you. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I agree with Smarticus and Tim, excellent roads and scenery abound in that area. I spent a great weekend at Kenmore a good number of years ago on the motorbike. Toured all over the area, near Schehallion there are lots of limestone caves too some are quite extensive. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

4WD you were there to see how long the last one over ran by and the pathetic response from RRS owners in Scotland)! In January it would have to be a weekend to in enough daylight to see all the scenery, but if you want to do a New Year Run then would anybody else be interested, possibly a Snow Hunt to test out your snow setting on the TR? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Aye the Falls are a bonny walk up the hill from Bruar and well worth the visit, and if you visit when the "chinese weed" (rhodedendron) is in bloom it is spectacularly colourfull too
