On the pax side dashboard our cars have a little open shelf or whatever you call it, right above the glove compartment and below the pax side front airbag.

With the previous RRS there was a little rubber mat on that shelf which prevented small items to skid from one side to the other, but my MY10 car has no such mat and I wonder whether this is normal.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??
