mees, that screw is for bleeding air out of the system, they may have left it slightly loose after water pump change, (so you may want to go back, and kick their arses |

Mine has started to give low coolant messages again, keeping an eye on the levels and are ok, the message goes away after the engine warms up, and there is no mayo in the oil filler cap Phew! Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Mees, the bleed screw on mine has been leaking slightly, and I had a closer look at it yesterday, and it doesn't seem to have a seal on it at all, and the screw has a tang on the end of it to stop you taking it out of the coolant tank. I have put some PTFE tape (that plumbers use) on the thread of the screw and put it back in, and it seems to have stopped it weeping. I can't believe it has no seal, coolant will find it's way out of anything that has no seal or gasket unless it is absolutely precision manufacturing, (which LR's are most definately not ![]() |
