Jonny, the M3 Cab is probably your best bet although i've heard very mixed reports about the M-DCT gearbox.

i think the M3 cab looks fantastic but it also has a bit of a weight problem which blunts the performance of the slightly 'Peaky' 4.0 V8 Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Nice S Thumbs Up

I've read it can be a bit clunky, especially when coming down the gears as you slow for junctions/traffic etc.

Also, apparantly it can be very hesitant when pulling away at junctions which can lead to heart-in-the-mouth moments Shocked and when in std mode sounds like a lot of clutch slip

I read that you have to select SPORT mode on the gearbox to make it react quicker Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

Why does it have to be a folding hard top? Question

Modern soft tops are better in any way - and I think they also do look better. Thumbs Up

If I would have to buy a 4-seater convertible it would be either a S5 or - if the persons for the back seats are small enough Wink - a 911 S. Cool
The new 3series convertible doesn't look half as good as the old one in my eyes. It seems as if the roof wouldn't have been designed for that car, there just is no real "line" in it... Confused

On the other hand there is a 4-seater convertible with a folding hard-top which is even quite payable: Thumbs Up

Agree with the S5, a fine looking car with a good engine and a hood that matches a Conti GTC for insulation and quality (Same parent company I 'spose).

there are a couple of S5 coupes in Paphos and they look amazing, really stand out as different to the S-Line 2.0T A5's I see around despite the differences being actually quite subtle. Thumbs Up Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

S5 looks great as a coupe and with the lid down, but doesn't work too well imho with the lid up Confused All subjective though isn't it? Very Happy

Before buying a Volvo you may want to register and have a search under dealership/customer service issues here

http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/

You'll get a mine of problems and things that can be found with all the range there. Ranging from the handbrakes releasing after parking to hesitation pulling away with the diesels to automatic gearbox issues.

Worth a look. Only wish Id heard about it before I bought my last and final volvo. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

535d m-sport Platinum grey and a few extras.... Gone

X5 3.0 sd in Space Grey, 20's, Dynamic Pack, Memory Pack, Media Pack, Tow Pack, Rear DVD, Panoramic Sunroof, Steps, 7 Seat Pack, Reversing Camera with moving lines, programmable park heat, etc etc etc - Gone

Range Rover Sport Santorini, privacy, dvd, towpack GONE!!!
