When my spare wheel was "borrowed", the cable that holds the spare was cut. I believe I will need a brand new winch unit. Is this something I could fit myself, and could I buy one online ? (or do I need to get the dealer to do it ? ) RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system

You can fit yourself - straightforward job. A rummage on Disco3 should reveal what you need to do. These winches were on backorder with Land Rover a couple of months back, but I believe supply is sorted now. Two lives - lived one
