Yes, your tires will look almost flat. Trust me, it works. Bring a good compressor for when you get out of it!

I was too busy driving to get a pic of freshwater road but attached is a pic to show I was really there

Red, see my post here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic8034.html i was sorely tempted to attempt the single tank trip, i live less than 10 mins drive from the end of the F3. Was up there looking to buy a property around Tewantin, Peraigan, Noosa only 2 weeks ago..Is yours a V6 or V8 ?? I was unaware of any local beach driving options in the vicinity maybe next time.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre

I think you'll find your RRS was bottomed out, in that case theTerrain Response 'detects' this and raises the vehicle a further 23mm in the 'Extended' mode IIRC this would then provide you with the added traction by distributing the weight back onto the tyres not the underside of the vehicle...

Hi Guy, You could be right. It didn't feel that deep but it is conceivable it had gradually dug itself down to the axles. I just kept the wheels gently spinning and never completely lost momentum. cheers, Anthony TDV6, MYO7 Java with Ivory leather, 19 inch wheels
