Dashboard warning lights

Does anyone on a 05 reg 2.7 TDV6 HSE have a light that comes on to let you know your headlamps are on - my friends newer TDV6 HSE does, mine doesnt ....

My 55 plate HSE did - maybe you have a duff lamp?

thank you! so next question would be how do i change the bulbs in the dash. Plus, what do all the positions on the clocks do so i can test the others so i dont end up taking the dash out again! thank you!

Have you checked that none of the lamps (head/tail/brake/indicators) hasn't blown - sometimes these things are also an indication of a lamp failure. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

How did you know?

Mine was an Aug 05 build - I'm sure it had the lamp though

Lamp to say your lights were on? I think the dash illuminated very very poorly - so bad that you couldn't see it unless you were in a tunnel..... they added a green lights on light in recent MY's becasue of this as i recall....

There was a fairly recent post saying i don't need a light to tell me my lights are on after much posting about the opposite

Maybe it didn't then.... 2005 was a looooong time ago. I've eaten a lot of pies since then
