do the rrs 2.7 tdv6 have brake wear sensor's?

Yes - a warning will sound when you need to get them changed. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

In my experience - the warning sound is a phone call from the service receptionist at the LR dealer. The sound describes how I need new pads and discs all round and that the cost will be £#@# ! I then plead with the sound to say "surely not", "do the discs really need replaced already", "is it really that much". I then loose the discussion and slink off into the corner feeling poorer. The sensors are apparently notoriously iffy. First I knew of rear break pad wear was metal on metal.

usual punch up with the local dealer and my discs were replaced. Car was under warranty and I therefore expect the sensors to work.

Personally I would check them visually from time to time.

I had a 15000 mile service a couple of months ago and the service report said brake pads 10% worn.

I was impressed by this but a couple of days ago the brake pad warning light came on, the car has now done 20000 miles, I took it in and they say I need new pads!! How could they be 10% worn @ 15000 and now need replacing??
