Using a DMM you can find the VSS at the ABS module under the bonnet. It's a Dark Green wire, but be warned, there are a few in the loom and you will need to test which is the VSS with the DMM.

There are others as I did my research about a year ago, just do a search on the net.

Presumably they come with diagrams if not I am fairly certain that somewhere on the site there is info on the CAN bus runs.
