How Do I Remove Steering Wheel

Hi all
got a new revere wheel to put on with switch panel in Ebony.

My09 HST , how the hell do i get the wheel off ? taken 4 screw's out of back section but this has not released the centre section or the switch sections ? am i missing something Help ! 2014 5.0SC AB

Carefully or you might damage the airbag.

There are two small holes on either side of the plastic casing which allow access to the airbag. However, I doubt you have this tool, it's a thin piece of metal about 5 inches long with a small hook on the end used to reach inside and release the airbag. If you have never done this before, I'd be careful.

Once you release the hooks, gently pry the top of the airbag forward slowly and release the wire connections behind, for the steering wheel functions. Then you'll get access to a 16mm bolt...be sure to note the 2 notches to align the wheel again to the spline or you'll have an off center wheel.

The 4 screws you are referring to only provide the casing to attach the steering wheel buttons, but you need to remove the wheel before undoing these. PJPR

Thanks for the info , yes no tool for that , trip to the dealer and pay a few Pounds will be far better than killing the air bag i think.
