Dont knock Southport when I was a lad I was at school there for a few years before my folks uprooted us to Aberdeen.... Its not a bad place and I remember the parks were quite nice as a kid... but thats been 25 odd years ago Brit across the Pond |

The thing about Southport is that it's unpretentious. What you see is what you get. It has a certain faded Victorian splendour about it. Prince Louis Napoleon (Bonaparte) lived there and they say that the main street was an inspiration for the Parisian boulevards. So take no notice of people who dis it.... I like it!!!! |
