1965 Mini brought when I was 14 so I could tinker with it. It was repainted a bright yellow with a black roof, wide wheels and full roll cage, bucket seats the lot, the engine was bored to make it into a 1340cc Oh those were the days!!! |

Ha!! I test drove a Talbot Sunbeam and the gearbox broke when I tried to go into reverse.... unbelievably high build quality back then. ** Insert joke about modern day LRs here ** |

shmoogle - it didn't last long - passed onto my sister and along came my Sunbeam Lotus now that was awsome - basic compared to todays cars but all the same truly awsome - you had to respect it & I still bow to its greatness |

Mrs S likes an Austin Healey too. At least I think she's talking about the car and not a bloke of the same name. I also liked the old Rover 3500s... they went like poo off a shovel too. |
