Fed Up With FM Transmitter

I have been using a Belkin FM Transmitter for my IPOD in the RRS with very poor results. It becomes a mission to find a way to fully integrate the IPOD into the RRS, its either very expensive or not technically slick Big Cry

I found a device called a boostaroo which for about £28 will amplify the output of the IPOD sufficiently well so the AUX input can be used on the head unit (behind the arm rest input) without any degradation of sound quality or volume.

All I have to do now is hide the cables Rolling Eyes

If you guys are interested it can be found here http://www.boostaroo.com/ Chawton White TDV6 HSE with Alpaca and Rodium, Automatic Climate Control,

Great minds think alike Jay Thumbs Up

What would you suggest to hide the cables to the IPOD which is currently sitting atop the cover over the cupholders with an adapter in the front utility socket for power and the boostaroo under the arm rest. its a bit messy but sound is the most important factor Chawton White TDV6 HSE with Alpaca and Rodium, Automatic Climate Control,

Just read your email again Embarassed

How easy was it to fit?

Did you have to do much unbolting/screwing of the fixtures and fittings to install the HK unit? Chawton White TDV6 HSE with Alpaca and Rodium, Automatic Climate Control,

Mate this is SOO easy to fit if you know how to plus a USB cable in to your PC then that isn't much harder

Just 5 cables to plus on to the main unit which is all labeled

1. iPod cable in
2. Power
3. Controller
4. Screen
5. AUX out (to your back of the arm rest) you'll need to buy this cable if you don't already have one? (Male to Male 3.5)

I had the SL in 9 bits on the drive! It's so easy to pop bit's off in these cars Never got to fir one to the Range as my Sister had it before i got the H/K unit

But like i say i have it i the SL, 7, 5, and the 3 fitter all them myself if i can do it anyone can

Here the set up in the SL

Jay, you were right the drive play unit is good Bow down

With a bit of a struggle it fitted in the RRS and doesnt look out of place.

Thanks for the advice!
