A one year warranty?! No sh**t?
Isn't there the EU regulation which sais that new things have to have two years warranty?!


My TV bought in January (a Samsung [46"] since Samsung is the only company to do LED backlight technology these days and that TV was the one with the best picture in the store ) has a five year warranty with free home-service, i.e. they will take the broken thing and bring me a new one.
And I thought this service for at least two years is standard meanwhile... RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration

Despite the reply to my earler post I can assure you

I know a 12 month warranty is a 12 month warranty

I know the Sale of Goods Act is the Sale of Goods Act

The latter is better than a warranty!! The seller is responsible Look it up Ask your Local Council Trading Standards Department (or Google Sale of Goods Act)

I know, the seller is responsible but in Germany since some of the dealers reacted very in most warranty cases which affected of course the image of the manufacturers you now have a two-year or sometimes three-year full warranty with home service by the manufacturer if you buy electronic stuff (therefore you just register online or by phone with your adress, the serial number and the purchase date and that's all), some even offer a full 5-year-warranty these days (inculding most of the named above).
