22 Toyo Tyres

Having just got my car back from being serviced, CH advised that they didn't rotate the tyres as they were all nearly new, and had 7mm left on them. Well, I have 22'' Toyo's on them, and had them since April this year and have done 13,000 miles on them - I'm still amazed they have hardly worn. Surely this isn't the norm.....

ive always found toyo's to be... slightly plasticy, in their texture, and extremly hard, ive noticed they dont seem to ware on teh edges like the pirellis and contis, never been a big fan ive always had pirelli on my 22s, altho my tyre shop said the toyos are not that bad RR Sport supercharged 06

tyre pressures on 22"

Hello all

Just put 22" Stormer replicas on my RRS with Toyos.

Does anyone know what the tyre pressure should be, obviously LR dont have a standard one as they only go up to 20" from factory, just wanted to know what everyones using?

PS Does anyone else get a vibration through steering wheel at around 75mph (since I got the 22s) or is this just poorly balanced from the tyre shop?

Thanks

Paul

I put 40 all the way round - and I think you need to get them balanced or the alignment checked - mine seems fine at whatever speed.....be careful though, these are the easiest wheels to curb - have had mine refurbed 5 times now....glad you like them Thumbs Up

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The Pirellis on my TDv8 show no wear after 13500 miles - it's the alloys that look like they have done 100,000 kerbings. I've never had alloys that were so easily scuffed and I desperately try not to kerb them. Even the rear offside wheel has somehow got scuffed! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hello all

Im getting a couple of bushes done so am waiting until this work is done and then getting alignment done.

I might ask them to balance wheels at same time too - my tyres are 285 22 35s on 10inch wide alloys

Im happy to live with a slight vibration if its just the way it is, the guy in the garage says he sees this vibration issue with loads of 22" wheels on RR Sports

THanks for all your help

So are we all putting in +4 on the tyre pressures recommended for 20"s??

Thanks

Paul
