2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
automatic gearbox playing up

hi,

ive got a range sport hse 55 plate ive got a reving problem on my gearbox, when i take off from stationanory the automatic gearbox doesnt change gear and jus revs, i then have to put it in to maunal mode to change into first gear and then when i put it back into automatic it works again fine, but when i stop again i still have to use the assist of the manual box to move into gear on take off. taken into stratstone local dealer was there all day yesterday they said nothing wrong and fine drove home was okay for a bit then happned again. mind you jus happens now and agian totally baffled. purchased extended warranty jus to be on safe side as normal warranty expired last week. rang them back they said the cars fine theyve done all checks but will send tr toland rover to ask then so hence on my side booked into a different local dealer guy salmon in feb 2 see if they can help.

help anyone has similar problem and what was the outcome

Ayans, your location in your avatar says UK.............................. it's quite a big place and there are a lot of LR dealerships around the country - you seem to have at least 2 near to you as you mention them, are you anywhere near London as the forum sponsors Charles Hurst Park Royal in west London have a very good reputation. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I'm on my 2nd RRS and neither of them have given me any problems, neither did my FFRR before. My first RRS was a TDv6 SE taken delivery of just after launch day and now I have a TDv8. Good luck with getting it sorted, I wonder if there is a loose wire or poor connection somewhere in the electronics of the gearbox? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
