Went into one of their dealerships yesterday to feel the water
I asked about a new or upto one year old TDV8, no trade in, possibly on finance

Their reply

Have not got any 2nd hand ones, had a cracking December sold nearly everything, had to discount a little but not as much as we could have, if you want a new one we can get it 7% off

Obviously they are trading on a different planet

I left the showroom without as much as a coffee!!!!

Try drive the deal or contracthireandleasing sites or obv James @ CHPR, Kam or any of the other sponsors on here who'll all defintely not act like that !

I have already spoken with James and Spencer at CHPR who were very helpful. This was an impulse stop as I was driving past with nothing to do for 1/2 hour

(still driving the Audi at the moment)

I assume this was Lookers Chelmsford as Raleigh is about to close or is closed, wouldn't touch Lookers with a barge pole now as been using them for 19 years but ended up buying my RRS in 06 from Webbers Basingstoke due to a very lack of service on all fronts!

Guys, wouldn't tarnish all looker's dealerships with the same brush.. Correct me if im wrong, but aren't charles hurst park royal and battersea operated by Lookers PLC? I would not expect this service from James and his team, so worth giving them and us a try i would think...

But the people at looker's were probably correct, as the stock of TDV8's have been slowed, so wouldn't expect all these bargains to stay about for long!

Just a thought, it just dawned on me reading the above , and looking at the news , is all this stuff about car factories scaling back on production capacity etc, just a was of making thier products less available , thus protecting residuals, even in the boom times massive stocks were held all over North east lincs and Humberside in huge yards, they are not there now. 08 HSE,5%TINTS, Factory tow bar, brum ,brum
