In case of the BlueRay player the PS3 is a nice box, however today we have installed a Pioneer system (BDP-LX71 and VSX-LX51) all hooked up to a LX6090 60" LCD - excellent picture - colour depths better than the PS3 imho

I believe the latest incarnation (YSP-40D etc) is compatible however I've not tried myself.  No rear speaker option is available for the YSP as it is designed to create the surround sound effect itself
