I ask this because I want to use my 19ers for offroading (and winter) and there is one interesting tyre by pirelli that an be bought in 255/55 R 19 which I would be interested in. (As discussed here.)

As others have said the D3 has a standard fitment of 255/55 19, so given that the RRS & D3 pretty much share the same running gear & also that the G4 RRS event vehicles run on G/Y MTR 255/55 19’s, it’s seems to be only a software issue to have the RRS capable of correctly running on a 55 profile tyre.

There’s actually an option on the current version of the Land Rover IDS to upload a tyre size of 255/55 19 so that your gearing & speedo readings will be correct with the slightly higher profile tyre. But it would be totally be at the discretion of your LR dealer if they would be prepared to change the setting on your Sport or not, but the option is certainly there on the system

(FYI IDS stands for Integrated Diagnostic System)

You don't have to calibrate anything. On standard size tyres, the speed is about 3-4 mph 'fast' i.e. it says you're doing 34 when you're actually doing 30. With the larger (255/55/19) tyres, it is more accurate, have checked with a gps.

Many have fitted even larger tyres, for better performance off-road.
