Alarm sounding when doors locked

I recently had a problem with the alarm sounding on the RRS. I would lock it with the key fob, and return to find the alarm sounding. I though at first someone had tried to break in to it, but there was no damage anywhere and it just repeated every time I locked it. Shocked
This became a major problem as I couldn't leave the car locked anywhwere without the alarm going, and leaving it unlocked would have left it prone to being nicked. Big Cry
I called the dealer & he told me to call LR Assist. Well, for LR assist to come out you have to be in one place for about 4 hrs and I was so busy at that time and then off to Bulgaria, I just locked it in the lock-up, unlocked, and used the Defender.
When I came back from Bulg, I called LR assist. They came out in 3hrs 15mins but it wasn't a LR tech. It was a local breakdown recovery guy who knew little about Range Rovers and less about alarms (Nice guy - we chatted about Jenson Interceptors and then he took off). Waste of an afternoon! Censored
So next day I took it to the dealer (Stratstones, Swansea) and the tech spent 1/2 an hour on it. He cleared the alarms on the computer and said it was the drivers door latch mechanism that was telling the computer someone was trying to break in after about 3 mins of the door being locked. He ordered the part and fixed it in 2 hrs labour a few days later. Very Happy
Just thought I'd share this in case anyone else has the same problem.
No charge as it was all done under waranty Very Happy but a lot of my time wasted Sad
