United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Stornoway Grey
To De-Badge, or to not De-Badge

Decided to photobotch a pic of the new RRS for a debadged look.

Still gonna wait for CHPR to send the HST badge through before deciding, but I think it looks kinda alright

thinking of adding the Hawke semi-tinted rear light clusters, not sure I am keen on the colour coding part though, anyone aware of any other alternatives of rear lights to get rid of the "big red blob"? Stornaway Grey/Ebony TDV8 HST, September 3rd Smile

MMMM I think taking off the Range Rover lettering leaves it a little bare, this is the back end of mine, i've just added the chrome boot opener and Black badge

The HST has no range rover badging on the rear Smile

I have only photoshopped out the word "sport" Stornaway Grey/Ebony TDV8 HST, September 3rd Smile

Debadged mine, but left the Range Rover lettering on, looks good. '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

just rechecked the HST brochure, and it definitely doesn't have "range rover" written on the back. to be honest i hadn't even noticed the wording wasn't there (hadn't compared it side by side with another sport)

It hadn't bothered me until you pointed it out Big Cry

any thoughts on the rear lights as per my first post? Stornaway Grey/Ebony TDV8 HST, September 3rd Smile

Yeah, I must admit I'm not a fan of debadging... the same as I'm not a fan of putting badges onto something that it's not (the usual M badge on a std 3 series etc). But each to their own Thumbs Up

Yes, that's correct! HST's don't have RANGE ROVER along the bottom of the boot. They come with the LR logo on the N/S and SPORT on the O/S. We the dealers have to 'request' the HST badge by chassis number and then fit it before the delivery.

I'm thinking just the black LR and the HST plate, lose the SPORT (maybe TDV8 also); will try out a few permutations Stornaway Grey/Ebony TDV8 HST, September 3rd Smile
