I just wish Bose would stop pretending that small speakers and big subs produce quality sound - they have a product that fits a lifestyle - I'm just glad they've stopped doing that silly demo with the there cube speakers behind 6 foot speaker grills Rolling Eyes

I thought that demo was always quite cool, but clearly I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to hifi Embarassed

S - in 1995 it was very cool - however after a decade I think we're all used to what small speakers and a sub can do

It was about then that I saw that demo I think... one of those old style motor shows at Earls Court I think Confused

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Oh dear, last year I replaced a 24 year B&O system that was great except that it had no CD player (they weren't invented then........................) and replacing the main unit with a new B&O cd unit was going to cost too much, so I bought a Bose GSX 3-2-1. I'm pleased with it but then my hearing ability is about the same level as S's! I always used to rate Bose along with Tannoy - makers of public address systems - but then I went to the Bose demo suite to hear their systems. The other option I had was the Linn equivalent but the quality of the radio reception on it was poor compared to the Bose, and having no TV a decent radio is important to me. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care

i quite liked the Bose demo suite with the big boxes, but i'm sure they arrange the room to make it sound the best, and it would sound nothing like it in my lounge.

on the contrary - it will sound very similar - the issue is small speakers cant produce quality midrange, and bass (sub) speakers aren't very good at complicated midrange reproduction - this makes the BOSE configuration suited to movies etc, however not the best for Audio - at the price they charge imho its not the best all round product
