TV Tuner

Guys do you think it's worth getting a TV tuner installed? A company I have found on the net have said yes they can do a DVD player, but reception on Tuner isn't that great - so don't bother? Any views???

Had it in the M3 and it was useful for watching while waiting for the Mrs to finish handbag shopping, picking up at the station etc. Not much point to it otherwise - it's not like you're going to be watching it while driving along (although the BMW systems keep the sound going on the move). Did you not have it in your 6er?

It was an extra £800 in the 6, and didn't go with it in either of them.....but thinking about it now - used to have it in my SL 65, and worked staionary but only audio onthe move - just wondering whether it;s worth having in motion - can't imagine it working very well. Might just got for the DVD only

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Hi

Had it on my 6 and it was a complete waste of time other than when you are explaining to people how great the car is and then drop in 'and it's got a tv'....

I have a roof mounted dvd player for my son and that's had more use in the past 2 months of having it installedthan the 3 years I had the 6 series.

So my recommendatuion would be waste of time and money. Jaguar XKR Convertible

Depends on what you want bottom end

NickM:
I have sold 2 different TV tuners, one has automatic signal change for rear view camera to kick in when you shift Reverse. TV tuner and 2 additional video inputs.
The second one has 4 inputs and 4 outputs selectable.
Now, I dont believe TV selection is good in anycar unless you install satellite in your roof amigo!
The big hefty price is the "TV" interface for your Dash Screen, it runs around 1600 US!(reallly a video input module with fiber optic cables, and the module for removing the speed shutoff function so it will always work )
Take your pic and good luck in that road!
Adios

Signal change for the rear camera in reverse....
Now... I thought we didn't have a solution to that.

In the RRS?
Do tell! What do we need? 2022 P440e AB

Yes, rear view camera is switched on inside aftermarket tv t

This is not the OEM TVTuner ok? This is an aftermarket which has a signal input from the rear taillamp reverse bulb to trigger the camera input.
The rear camera is mounted on the plate, its not OEM either.
Thanks
