For all the two wheel enthusiasts

I decided to blow some cobwebs from my trusted triumph-bonny, with that in mind I headed out of MC and down towards the city of Nice out along the Bass Corniche. There is not much really to see on this road more or less a few sleepy little towns all waiting for the summer influx of tourists.

On arriving at the port of Nice I doubled back on myself heading up onto the Moyenne Corniche where I basically had these roads to myself, as everybody seemed to be heading into Nice.

I think the guy who designed these roads must have had motorcyclists in mind, as most of the return journey is all double lane with wide sweeping corners, and if you ride a bike you will know that cornering is the best part.

I stopped off in Villefranche-sur-Mer and took a few pictures from the Corniche looking down to the Mediterranean, Mont Boron and Cap Ferrat. Then moved of on the till empty roads for Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Eze-Bord de Mer and the little village of Eze.

Instead of heading into Cap-d’ Ail itself I headed back up onto the road that would take me to La Turbie and then stopping off to take a few more pictures of MC looking down from the Vista Palace, over Beausoleil into MC. While up at the Vista Palce I met some of my old mates who were Paraponting and had probably been up there all day. They even came down for a picture or two.

Slipping across the border into Italy on the A8 Genoa, and then paying my 2euros to get into Ventimiglia Italy where I grabbed myself a very nice Cappuccino on the Italy/France border, then headed into Menton where I took pictures of an brightly coloured orange RR (I think!!).

Then back into MC where I took more pictures of the port, and if you look closely, you will see the Lady Moura in her winter moorings. You will also see we are gearing up for the Grand Prix.

And no journey would be complete without taking my bike round the F1 track, through the Pits, passing La Rascasse corner and onto the starting grid.

Enjoy.

PS – I make no excuses for my inept picture taking
