Lop-Sided TDV8 and Key Memory Issues

Currently seem to have an issue with the rear left suspension being much much lower that the rear right when parked on level ground. Front end seems fine. Been through the threads but cannot find a specific answer for this.

On parking only the rear left suspensions seems to deflate and the cars sits lop-sided. This lean is signifcant and the car looks a very sorry sight. I measure the extent of the lean by checking with a clenched fist on either side. On the left I cannot get a clenched fist between tyre and wheel arch; on the right I can get a fist and a half.

It has been to the dealer with this issue and they assured me it was all down to the wrong software loaded onto the central controller. Apparently I had RR Vogue software loaded and they explained it that my car was trying to do things it wasn't built to do. This did seem to cure it for 3 weeks but now my lean is back. Obviously a trip to the dealers seems to be on the cards again but was wondering if there are any explanations for this? All seems OK when the car is driven.

Also, my two keys regularly lose their settings and seem to reset themselves to factory settings; ie, I lose all lazy entry settings, the landrover button returns to switch headlights on not open tailgate as programmed. This is now getting frustrating can anybody explain why or is it something I'm doing wrong? I do not disconnect the battery at all.

Thanks all. RRS TDV8 Java/Ebony, Privacy

Hi

I believe this is just a sensor problem - it has been discussed before a few times - in fact, I think JayMan may have had this problem in the past and it was resolved by replacing a suspension sensor - I'm sure someone will confirm if this is correct shortly

Definately sounds like a faulty ride hight sensor to me.

As for the wrong software Confused Sounds like your dealer doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. RR Vogue and the RRS are built in two completely different buildings, using two completely different on board diagnostic systems. How on earth could the wrong software be loaded? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. TB - Thanks for this; my local dealer is German and they probably don't get the throughput of issues to buid-up a good knowledge base so I'm just trying to get some responses to be able to point them in the right direction on my second visit. RRS TDV8 Java/Ebony, Privacy

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Sorry all; been away working for the week for a change. Not had time to check-in. Picked the car up this morning from the local stealer and as predicted by you clever folk it was a sensor issue this time. Wonder how long this will last until it starts to list again. Is this generally a recuring problem?

Can't wait to take her down the autobahn tomorrow - been in a Saab 9-5 all week. What a bore!! RRS TDV8 Java/Ebony, Privacy

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Been down the autobahn and now the rear left brakes are sticking. Stank and was extremely hot when I got back and the excess brake dust also gave things away. Tried applying and releasing handbrake a number of times but still seems to drag significantly. Another trip back to the dealer needed. Also Sat Nav brigthness is always dull now even with lights off and limbar control has fell off seat. I'm sure all will be sorted one day. RRS TDV8 Java/Ebony, Privacy
