Ship Collision

Here is one for Tim to cast his eye over.

Somewhere in the Irish Sea Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

But this one is real................................. the light blue ship belongs the company I work for, and they were extremely lucky because the light blue ship is an LNG Carrier................... look at the flames at the point of impact.......... that ship is a floating cigarette lighter

They were lucky that LNG tanker didn't blevy. That would have made life interesting for all concerned! Tim - maybe you can help me out with this question which relates to the fact that over the last few years quite a few LPG tankers have been converted for LNG use which apparently is fairly easy. However, for some reason its not as easy/cost effective to convert them back as LPG carriers which seems a bit daft to me although I'm far from being an engineer.

I don't really know Wilko, it probably has something to do with classification societies/ insurance. I cannot remember offhand which one requires the most refrigeration, LPG I think but once the plant goes out of class it probably requires complete replacement making it not cost effective. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
