2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
29 Oct at Gaydon

On my drive home today I made Gaydon my 1st tea/lunch break as it is about 2 hours drive from Sway, and a much nicer place to stop than Cherwell Valley Services.
Today must have been something special with LR as there were something like 40 FFRR, RRS's and F2's in the main carpark and up in the small carpark even more, including these 2 XF Jags.

The upper car park was all Land Rovers and Jags except for one Micra, 1 Escort and one Audi A4!

I parked up next to a Rimini RRS that had no spec designator on it but was definitely a TDv6 despite having Stormers, Brembos and every possible extra, including cream/ parchment hide like the Buckingham Blue TDv8 I saw at Perth.

The TDV8 FFRR's all had a TDv8 badge on them too, under the spec name. Unfortunately my picture didn't come out very well.

You can just drop in, you don't even need a Land Rover or a Jag. It is the British Motor Heritage Centre just off the M40 at Gaydon and also on site is the Land Rover/Aston Martin/ Jaguar Development centre and sometimes if you are really lucky you might see new models out testing on the public roads near the Museum and centre.
As I posted elsewhere, I stop there to use the cafe and loos rather than the nearby motorway service area - The Motor Heritage Centre is only about 10 minutes drive from the motorway and has a slip road from both north and south bound carriageways and is well signposted. There is no parking charge and if you don't want to visit the museum proper then you go round to the rear entrance and enter the cafe and loos and do not need to pay the entry fee. The museum is worth a visit too CY, you can even go on a Land Rover Experience run within the grounds!

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

That is a very serious line up of LR & Jag metal. I just wonder if there was some high powered meeting going on inside with some potential new owner. The new owner might have arrived in the Micra Shocked RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

According to the signs inside the was a Land Rover Senior Management Conference going on in one of the conference suites on site - I hope they got as well fed from the cafe as the general public, because this is one stop just off the motorway that is super value for money and great quality too.

Regarding the looks of the XF, it isn't a "pretty" car and from the side has aprofile not unlike the Merc CLS except it has a much shorter rear over hang 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It's like a 4-door XK to my mind... I didn't think it looked that bad from those pics. I've not seen one in the flesh.

Thet do look better in the flesh - plenty driving around by me - they are often in/out of MIRA just up the road from where I live.
