Qatar 2007 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Buckingham Blue
Loose Windshield Rubber Strip

Hi All,

I ran into a weird accident yesterday. While driving on the highway in Doha at like 100KM/hr
I was spooked with a LOUD sound on the roof of the RRS. It felt like I was driving under a shower
of rocks hitting the roof fast at various spots.

The whole experinece was startling to say the least. I immediately pulled over and looked at the
roof to find that the long rubber strip that covers the windshield became loose from one end all the
way to the middle and literarly was WIPPING my roof. Crying or Very sad

I was lucky I did not lose it all together. I took it completely off as I did not trust
putting it back in will solve the problem. It looked quite loose in place. I also did
not wanna risk losing it all together and end up having to buy another one because
LR did not mount it properly Confused

Today I put it back in but I feel it is still lose and could ripoff driving at a high speed.

What do you recommend I do?

Putting a layer of black SILICON beneath it is one option I guess. Did anyone of
you came accross smthg similar?
