For me it varies. I'd rather have in the 5 series B10 the M version because it looks a lot more aggressive whereas the Alpina is more mature I think. The coupe does look really good but its still more subtle. I havent seen the performance figures side by side but looks and performance are the deciding factor for me and it all depends on these. I think Alpina styling is really good. If you look at an Alpina on the road you know its an Alpina and you know that its probably going to be someone more mature driving (NOT OLD MATURE) who knows they've got that power under the bonnet but isnt showboating it around like the M   Michael Potter

I agree that Alpinas are stealth BMs... but I like the way that the Ms shout about their differences myself. Or maybe I'm just a big showoff |
