have to admit sometimes a bit blurry when watching non HD but worth it in the long run, a bit like the RR Sport knocking prob!!

this is the main problem with LCD - as you may already know its not the screen itself however, its the media being played which is wanting - the screen technology is just getting way ahead of the 'in field' technology - its going to take a few years until all the recording hardware around the world gets up to HD levels to make LCD beneficial - hence the term 'HD Ready'

until then I'll stick with Plasma myself. Glad your happy with the Sony Thumbs Up

I got a 40" Sony Bravia LCD jobby for my father last weekend, for: £870 odd with a black grass stand.
So far its performing very well, and we're happy with it.

Were going to get a plasma, but the viewing angles we need for the room are quite wide, so thought plasma wouldn't be wide enough. The TV is placed in an open plan conservatory in the middle of a centre bell shape, so the viewing angle is unusually wide as the sofas as positioned at rightangles to the tv and are quite far away.

Got the TV from an internet supplier that Jay pointed out to me, they are based within birmingham area too, so they were able to deliver it before close of play that day, within 2 hours of order! how good is that.. they took our rear projector away too to bin it for us! top marks..

Looks like the Torys don't want you to have a plasma screen
