Missing / nicked spares has been mentioned a few times on here before - if it helps I've got 4 or 5 spare rims coming free soon that will be heading towards ebay as spares and spare rims for kerbed swap outs...

spoke to the dealer today and a new spare wheel winch and bracket is £45 and £65 to fit it.
Not too bad it could have been a lot worse. The dealer advisaed me to put a space saver on or he reckons it will only get nicked again (that cheered me up no end). He said it happens a lot and they sell a lot of new winch cables (do something about it then)
I thought i may wrap the cable in a stainless collar to stop it getting cut so easy.

unfortunetly they wont do anything about it while they are making money
For something that seems to happen quite often, it can't be easy to nick the spare though can it? Auto thieves are usually after a quick job and this can't just take someone a few secs to do, surely?
