I brought the dealers demo car as it was the colour we wanted with the right extras fitted. I couldn't get anything free - tried mats, boot liner, mudflaps etc. I got it at a fair price though. However, they screwed me on the road tax - we based the deal on the list price (otr), but then not until a few weeks later I noticed that it only had six months tax on it and of course we had based the pricing on a new car with 12 months tax. I got the rubber mats and half a tank of fuel, also the usual bottle of cheap bubbly and some flowers for the wife. L319 D4 HSE

I bought an ex demo, but made them fit my privacy tints as part of the deal, come on they were expecting me to pay list for a car which had run 4k miles already. Good thing is though i got all the extras on the car and didn't have to pay list for them also thankfully!

Like most here, all I managed was free mats and a tank of diesel. Seemed quite inflexible with anything else... but then I don't have any history with LR so no dealer relationship to bend! |

Actually I got a bottle of "champagne" too and it WAS the cheap stuff. It was foul, we had to throw the rest of it down the sink.
