Birdy, the limitation is to do with the car not your phone.... you'll be able to use your N95 over bluetooth, just not get access to the phonebook via the car.

The Fl2 BT system is completley different I believe - not a nokia one but Motorolla. It won't speak to almost any modern Nokia phone Evil or Very Mad

Fantastic! What amazes me is that I've had parrot systems in some of my previous cars - not only do they seem to speak to every phone I've ever owned, they work 99.9% of the time. The parrot system is great, full phone book transfer and all the other things you expect including a reasonable price. My advice to LR is speak to parrot for all your future phone systems! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

That is what the local dealer here told me too, that it was a Motorola system being fitted now instead of the Nokia that was in it previously. Confused
One of my phones is listed as being compatable and the other not both are Nokias, a 6230i(O2) and a 6234 (Proximus)

Martin, is this wishful thinking or something that's definitely in the pipeline?

RRS and AT&T 8525 (Cingular) bluetooth connections

I have an AT&T(Cingular) 8525 otherwise known as the HTC Tytn, which I use for all my email, txt, internet and calls when on the go ... I have noticed that it connects to the bluetooth in the car about 50% of the time pretty much everyother time I drive the car..... a bit annoying I must say.... does anyone have a similar experience with the similar phone.

Cheers,

Adrian

Now I've been using TomTom for years and have a TomTom Rider on my bike, it connects to my phones and downloads the phone books no problems, it can maintain up to 5 phones and all through bluetooth. It can be a little noisy on the bike but it works, even sending and recieving txt messages.
TomTom regularly update their phone compatability list and provide software updates when needed. Since easter there have been 2 map updates and 1 software update and the software was to add more phones to its database.
Ease of use with the TomTom is great and my Go910 has maps built in for Europe and North America and still has about 15Gb spare on it's HD
The Rider has a 4Gb SD card and it has slightly under 2Gb free

If it's the same form factor as the 6230 etc then it'll at least fit the cradle - whether it will work is anyone's guess. It's not in the approved phones list, but that doesn't mean it won't work - just means they've not tested it.

Let us know... Thumbs Up
