United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I agree with you rrsjo, had to be a cancelled order. I could have had one with cream leather that week due to another customers failed finance application. If you are prepared to ring around and are happy with base HSE spec then TDV8s are out there.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

As already posted above, there are no production holds on RRS TDV8's at the moment. In fact the production lines are actually working overtime each night and most weekends to produce more vehicles, trying and reduce customer waiting times.

I would advise that you have strong words with your dealer, some one is being economical with the truth. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

rrsjo, is it a Guy Salmon ? as they did the same to me on a TDV6 blamed LR all the time it was the dealer I believe slotting new orders in front of me.

I cancelled and picked a new vehicle up via an agent within ten days.

The problem is they just may be right and you could cut your nose of and loose your slot.
Its a difficult and extreemly frustrating position.
You have my sympathy

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

No it is not Guy Salmon and the problem is not with the dealer. This is solely down to LR changing the despatch date notified to my dealer. My last despatch date notified to my dealer only a month ago, has been put back a further three weeks. The car was originally due to be despatched at the end of May. I was going to tow my 3 tonne boat on a 500 mile round trip in August but now do not fancy doing that in a brand new vehicle and feel I ought to cancel all my arrangements. I can't even rely on having a tow car.
If I could come up with an alternative purchase I would pull the plug on this experience and never, ever go near a LR product again. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

Have you actually seen proof of this?
If it is the other BIG chain then they have certainly been known to tell lots of porkys, I and many on here have had lots of experience of that.
TB is the man in the know, might be worth getting more proof.

I was thinking the same - you seem to believe what the dealer is telling you, rrsjo.... why's that? Confused

Sorry to hear this. But I'm afraid I agree with the others that your Dealer is the problem here. Mine was ordered end of March as you know and is still on schedule for delivery mid July ish.
As TB say there are no production delays...my dealer had confirmed that about 3-4 weeks ago.

Is the dealer able to give you the factory order number? Bear in mind that you don't want to be fobbed off with the internal dealer order number, which is not the same Wink
I had my order number about 2 weeks before the commencement of building and as a result the dealer was able to tell me which week it should start.

Perhaps armed with the factory order number you could approach LR customer services to confirm that they have allocated a build slot to you. If not then you will know the dealer is pulling fast ones for his mates Exclamation

If not then I would complain to LR customer services and the dealer principle. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
