Private messages which are currently in your outbox haven't yet been read by the other members. When they read them they are transferred to the Sentbox.

There's no way of forcing them as such, because they've already gone. Perhaps another PM or use the e-mail feature to send a message directly to their e-mail inbox rather than the RRSPORT private messaging inbox  Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Ahhh....I didn't realise that is what happened. It would make sense though.
