"Chipping"
Our generic term for remapping the engine control unit to give a change in engine operating parameters.
There are different ways of performing the remap. The results and pros and cons are detailed in this forum.

Mick - prices can vary (£500-£1000) - check out JE's current 50% off promotion - this is great value for money

in terms of added value, like all after market options it will add very little - in fact some people may be put off from the car as fiddling with the ECU etc 'could' lead to invalidating the warranty.
