United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

I like it a lot, particularly the engine and interior. The RRS looks better IMO. If I were in the market for another socially irresponsible car I'd certainly give it consideration. Driving - TDV8 HSE in Stornaway / Ebony / Brunel
Sold - 56 TDV8 HSE in Java Black EBONY/RHODIUM/PRIVACY GLASS
Sold - 05 TDV6 HSE BONATTI/BLACK/RHODIUM 20''STORMERS, PTI AND FACTORY TINT.

Why not buy the Jeep SRT, both are fugly, you need to be quick so no one sees you in it.

I love the fact that car is SO unfriendly to the environment Laughing And plenty of space in the back to take home all the seals you've been out clubbing to death! Laughing

Personally I would like the RRS = Looks ........... Audi Q7 = Interior .................. Jeep SRT-8 = Performance

But ... saying that - the Q7 4.2 TDi is available to order right now, coming in at just over £53k - it is so much more car in terms of build quality/spec and performance etc than the RRS TDV8 - but its too big IMHO .... I think the forthcomng Q5 will be a better seller .... esp if they put this engine in it Confused

I drove both the 4.2 V8 and 3.0Tdi courtesy of Reading Audi and too be honest the 3.0 Tdi did it for me. The V8 was ok, but seemed to scream like a little girl when put under any pressure. Lots of revs and not much oomph. Whistle

Intrestingly, the sales guy seemed to be agree and said as a personal choice, the diesel was a the better option. As far as the interior goes, it felt a little cramped and dull. Yes, it probably has a bullet proof build, but so does my RRS SC.....5k miles later and not a single issue (apart from the seats that I still find impossible to get in the right position....still say they need a lower setting for us tallies!) Big Cry

Yep - it would appear that a number of people have found the Q7 awkward with regard to overall vision from the driving seat

test drove the 4.2tdi Q7 this afternoon - I hate to say it on a RRS forum, however I really like it Confused

The interior feels so much nicer than the RRS (imo), although yet again it feels a bit too carlike for me - the RRS feels like the 4x4 that it is, whereas the Q7 doesn't - I'm not sure its something that would stop me buying one though

They are growing on me.... and Mrs S likes them too, which I didn't expect. I note from Kitchen Nightmares, it's Gordon Ramsay's latest chariot too. Must've got rid of his RRS.

When Gordon Ramsey is in this area visiting his pal Nick Nairn (who owns a cookery school and hotel just down the road from me) he is usually driving a Buckingham Blue FFRR Vogue SE S/C. Nick Nairn recently had his rather special Porsche stolen and the idiots that stole it drove it around on it's private plate N41 RNS for about 12 hours before they were caught. Even though it had a Tracker it still took that long to recover it - we just don't have the police patrols in these parts of the country to be chasing stolen cars - Tracker is OK if you live in town or in the suburbs were there are police! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
