Upgrading to a TDV8 ?

It's been a fair while since I've been on here. I've been spending more time on Cobra and Vincent forums Embarassed
I'm seriously considering swaping my TDV6 HSE for a TDV8. Firstly, am I doing the right thing or will I regret it? and secondly, what price should I ask for my TDV6?
It was registered in December 2005 (2006 model year), 29,000 miles, Rimini Red with Alpacha and Rose Wood interior. All the usual HSE goodies plus PTI, Privacy Glass, Detatchable Towbar, Mudflaps, S/C Brembo Front Brakes, JE chip upgrade. Lovely condition throughout. It also has a JE stainless exhaust system, but I may keep that for the TDV8 Thumbs Up
What do you think?

Thank,
Paul

I changed from a TDv6 to a TDv8 3 weeks ago........................................ if you do it you won't regret it!
So much more performance so easily accessed, it is a superb engine and what RRsport should have had from the start. I would also say, if you are considering a chip, don't bother! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks Tim. I wasn't intending to chip it. It will stay standard, apart from the exhaust, maybe.

Welcome back PaulB - it seems the TDV8 is becoming a no-brainer, even the mpg figures a generally seeming to come in higher than the TDV6 for non-mental driving. Do it!! Thumbs Up

The TDV8 in the FFRR doesn't sound anywhere near as good as it does in the RRS though... although still goes well Thumbs Up

Hi guys,
What do you think mine is worth?
Is it worth putting it the "For Sale" section on the forum?

Paul

Hi Martin,
I took an S6 out for test drive last week. It's a storming engine (5.0 V10 from the Lambo Galardo) and sounds great. But I suspect I might be inclined to use the performance, which will drink fuel and endanger my licence.

I don't think my by budget won't run to an FFRR.

Paul

Then RRS TDV8 it is... by all means stick your TDV6 on the For Sale section here. Also worth sticking on Kam's radar for if he has any clients who want to get into a used RRS Very Happy
