Roof rails or not?

Hi all,
I've been studying this forum for a few weeks now in anticipation for delivery of my spangly new TDV8 in a months time. Question I have is, I originally ordered the roof rails and ski/snowboard attachment but have been asked to confirm if I want them included as apparently the roof rails can't be removed. Just wondering if anyone else has got roof rails and could add pics.

Do they look that unsightly? I don't want to mess up the look of the car too much so tempted to cancel but need to know fairly soon! I do a fair amount of skiing and will be based in Germany quite a bit with the intention of driving to the Alps a few times.

So, roof rails a good thing or do they look rubbish. I've not seen them fitted in anyone's pics so far!

Thanks.

Hi,

I have the roof rails (put the same order has you: roof rails cross bars and ski thing). I do think they actually add a nice toutch to the general aspect of the car. When you actually take the cross bar off, it does not show that much. I am afraid I don't have a picture available.

But beware, when I took delivery of the car, the whole kit was installed and it did look weired to have the ski fixation on the roof in London! Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Cheers jimmy,
I'm hoping that having a Java black car will mean the rails won't be so noticable anyway. Would welcome some pics from people if they've got anyway so I can make a bit more of an informed decision.

Rich.

Check this post for what the rails look like:

The rails can be removed but leave the fixing holes open... ideally, you would leave the rails in place and take off the bars when done. They're not that much of an eyesore...

The pics represent exactly what it is. I would not suggest to remove the rails but do remove the bars is very easy and take 1min if two people are doing it, maybe 3 mins if you are alone... Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Thanks for the quick replies folks. I must admit I've decided not to bother with the rails. I figure I should have enough space inside for skis as and when i head off to use them and I think the rails do very slightly upset the look of the car.

So looking forward to getting my beast though. Only a month to go!!

I put on the roof rails after getting my car, I dont think they detract from the look and they are practicle too.
