Don't say you didn't get enough warning......

OK folks the 2006 give-away diaries from clients and suppliers should be arriving shortly and you will be wondering what on earth to write in them so here is a proposal - weekend of 1st/ 2nd April 2006 how about an RRS.co.uk mega meet?
The venue has not been decided yet but it will be somewhere fairly central for the majority of the forum's posters, with loads of hotels and quality B&Bs nearby and some other good attractions for those non RRS anoraks in our midst. Please post a reply below with a preference for either the 1st or the 2nd if you can make it. I expect to be home so if I can drive down from Scotland then there is no excuse for those who live closer! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Could the meet be a green laning day too? Or maybe we could take over a LRE centre for the day and use our own vehicles.

It would have to be somewhere I could bring the family, possibly for an overnight stay, cos if I take the car, I can't leave them at home without a vehicle (she wont drive my van!). Then if the family comes, then so does the dog.

Any chance of finding a hotel/farm/b&b that accepts dogs and is on country estate that we can do off-roading on! Laughing
I think the LRE centre at Milton Keynes has accommodation units too. Matt

You have a nice time VA, one thing for sure is that it will be warmer there than it will be here!
I sailed out there on a friend's 40ft sailing boat 10 years ago and then had 3 weeks touring the island and using the yacht as a hotel. It was very pleasant indeed but I must admit that some of the locals were not the friendliest that I have meet, and some of the officials in the immigration department made us feel distinctly unwelcome. It took 19 days and 5 hours to get from Grand Canaria to Antigua............ and a 40ft boat out on the ocean is tiny. We thought we had done so well to get there until we met a family of 4 who had sailed out from Falmouth on a 27ft boat!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
