Checked mail late last night, have received a half day LRE invite... had this sport 18months and not received an invite. What triggered this?? I did request a new brochure (in prep to the move to the V you think that triggered the invite

Yes it will be linked to that, they will try and do a bit of a talk about the car, some on and then some off road driving.
If you say you already have one depending on your instructor you may just be able to off road the whole time

I expect there is one nearer to you but I have been to Rockingham quite a few times Done up to level 2 there.
They are a good bunch of guys although some say the terrain is not the most demanding.
If you are lucky there you will get the famous Ed Copley, the owners son total off road guru, Euro champ for about 7 years on the trot and a really nice bloke to boot.

I have been invited as well, I am going next Tuesday.

It looks like the LR customer service computer has gone into top gear. It has contacted my local dealer twice telling them to call me as I am interested in buying a Disco3 and and FL2 (I am not , never have been and I bought an RRS in March). It has sent me three lots of brochure packs - 1 for the entire range, 1 for the Disco3 and one for the FL2. It has invited me to test drive the RRS on and off-road at LRE - I assume it thinks I am still in the market for one as the associated blurb is all orientated as pre-sales.

Still its off the the mud on Tuesday (and then off to Broxhead Common on Sunday)

And the booking scheme did not have a record of the invite so it was a tortuous process to get the booking (and some of the emails I have received from LR have the suspicious words [TEST] in the subject line so I think they are playing with the computer and got it wrong - but who cares! 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

I'm off to the one at Dunkeld near Perth tomorrow.
Wife, Bairn, Nice instructor man and a RRS TDV8 in the Scottish hills
Then it's off to Glasgow for a spot of shopping and then all the way back up to John o' Groats

Shame my dealer isn't in top gear... placed enquiry (in person) last Thurs for a V8 and still no call (there was no one free when i went in)...

Useless - I have had this in sales before - always feel like you have to buy the car rather than be sold it - no effort on their part...

Merc were worst - I had to insure it for the test drive ?!?!?!?! 's

Got one too.... Dunkeld looks gorgeous, I remember Tim going there once and posting the pics.

I am off to Ashford LRE at end of Aug for mine - FFRR TDV8, as I've already done a few LREs in RRSs and FLs.

I never received one either - Not even while looking at buying and I went round 4 Dealers and requested brochures! Apparantly LR used to give you an LR Exp when you purchased a new vehicle but I believe that has stopped too - I certainly haven't had anything since getting my RRS I wonder if it's geographical? they used to have one up in Aberdeen but it's been shut down - Amazing, considering how may LR models are up here! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

They haven't given away a free half day LRE with new LRs for well over a year now, but you're right, they did. You can obviously pay to go on one independently of LR, as a member of the public of course.

Not sure why not everyone's getting one if you request a brochure - it's not like they're even using them (intelligently) as part of a sales drive as they still believe me to be driving my RRS (their info, not mine).

Try requesting another brochure via the website....?
