...and why get one of these (chipped or otherwise) and then pootle around in it? I suppose 28mpg might be possible, but in reality it's never going to happen.

That's true.

Come on TC tell us if it's 28mpg on the trip computer driving like noddy or 28mpg with the tank brimmed and driving like ayrton senna? Wink "People simply disappeared, always during the night. I drove 200 miles in mixed traffic, including a long stay on the M25. I got an average of 27mpg. When I was driving I was doing around 80.

This as in my TDV8 (Un chipped). I honestly dont remeber getting as good an mpg from the TDV6 and add to that the performance increase I am amazed

It would seem that the V8 is better on fuel than the V6, my V6 only gets low 20s Big Cry another reason to change to the V8 Very Happy some of my Previous cars

Do you need a reason Envoy Whistle

The TDV6 is always going to be better on fuel.

But the sheer power of the TDV8 is sensational.

As they say "You dont get nothing for nothing" Envoy.

Just turning the key when you start it Thumbs Up is a joy  SDV8 vogue SE.

nope i dont really need a reason

Looking at mpg figures quoted for the V8 it would seem that they are comparable with the V6 Thumbs Up
