T&S Norman to the rescue

I’ve been monitoring a suspect injector giving me lumpy idle on start and occasionally on warm idle. IID tool says Cyl 1 was at max flow and a live reading showed it at around 1390. I’ve seen that T&S have come recommended on the disco3 site so for some reason I thought I’d break away from the indie I’ve been using and give them a try. I spoke with Steve who explained who/what and why so it was booked in. I was braced for 6 injectors just in case. As it happens only one was needed and the figures are now all similar and it’s smooth as a smooth thing hot or cold.

I liked Steve’s set up and the true British barn style specialist. Outside was a fleet of L405, L322s and it just feels right. I’ve found me new indie for the time I keep the car.

He’s given me a list of stuff that needs addressing and March sees it’s annual service + cambelt/oil pump so an expensive month ahead but we’ve decided it’s a keeper anyway. I’ve only got 75k on the car and Steve says it’s all age related wear as the car is 14 years old now. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Steve Norman is a top bloke Thumbs Up

When my 3.0 TDV6 spun a bearing, he was kind enough to spend a considerable amount of time on the phone with me giving me some great advice. You won't go wrong with him.

Glad you got your injector sorted Steve. Kev

This is the sort of service that the big main dealers in their luxury glass boxes don't understand.

Great to hear positive stories about indies. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

It is great when these guys are found, sounds very similar set up to the one I was recommended to in Peterborough gives you confidence when you see a 1 year old RRS entrusted to them rather than a main dealership, he even had one off its chassis having an engine rebuild & was proud to show me his work area.

Bushes bushes oh and bushes and just for variety a noisy bearing and a weak shock absorber + corroded brake hose. I’m not going to talk money as I don’t think it’s right but we’re going to get it done Thumbs Up 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Hi Rob, just fine and dandy. Still silky smooth even though I’ve done 20k ish since it was done Censored . How’s your FF been over the year?. I remember you having an oil cooler leak if memory serves. And how’s the classic? It’s the most expensive seat I’ve ever sat on to have tea and biscuits Mr. Green 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
