2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
2008 - LR's 60th Birthday

OK guys PLENTY of warning on this one!

2008 will be Land Rover's 60th birthday................
Should we arrange something special?
My suggestion is that we get RRSport.co.uk, Disco3.co.uk and Freel2 members together and go en-masse to one of the Landy Shows? The LRM show at Gaydon over the May Bank holiday would be a nice one.

Any suggestions? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Sounds good to me, I'm sure LR will throw a 60th birthday bash (at Gaydon most probably) so I think we should get together there Smile Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

There are people on the Landrover forum uk site talking about organizing an event for 2008, it would be good if there was a massive event where all L/R vehicles turned up. Count me in some of my Previous cars

Excellent Idea

I think I should be suitablly vehicled up by then.

The group or large groups could meet at a large open space / carpark some miles away from Gaydon and then do the last bit in a convoy. Laughing

D3 guys are suggesting doing our own event outside of one of the Landy Shows. Gaydon is still a good location for this as they have caravanning and camping facilities on site for those who need that sort of thing and there are loads of B&B's for those that prefer a more solid roof over their heads!
Although it is a long drag from here, Gaydon isn't a bad location for most of the membership. However I'll let all of you mull it over while I'm off the scene and see what you fancy.

Some suggestions
Maybe a Factory Visit/HOTL run on the Friday (it doesn't open at weekends) and Gaydon
Or an LRE day at Eastnor in our own cars and Gaydon?
Do our own thing based round Gaydon?
It would be nice to make it an "inclusive" weekend involving families as well as the big kids who own the cars!

Do we have to own an LR to come??

Im sure i could get hold of one for the day/weekend, should have a TDV8 in the family, and a D3, and could also ask our friendly dealers if i can 'test drive' a car for the weekend.. but may even have a new X5 by then.. but will i get stoned to death in a Bmw if we bring that along? Shmoogle, they may not take kindly to your motor either.. hehe Laughing Wink
