2010 RRS Windscreen Wiper (arm) issue

So part way through my recent road trip the passenger side wiper arm decided to stop working correctly, if I manually locate the arm on the screen it will perform one wipe and then instead of stopping horizontally as it should it will continue to wipe, off the bottom of the screen and on to the plastic scuttle where it will stop and not work again until I manually relocate it.

The drivers side wiper continues to work perfectly.

Has anyone seen this before / fixed it?

Will ask the obvious, is the securing nut tight (18Nm.)?

Cheers

A fair question, it's as tight as I can make it but rusty as anything so I didn't want to use too much force!

Possibly damaged the splines beyond use so it may well be a new arm and maybe pivot if it’s available as a separate part. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Yeah, might find it's worn away inside the arm especially if it's been slightly in the past and the retaining nut's bottoming out. Spindle/shaft not available separate, new linkage £140.00 from L/R even the arm's stupid money at £40.00 from them, think I might look on fleabay first.

That sounds like a sensible course of action, any idea on the part numbers I need to look for.

The car's a late 2009 facelift 3.0 TDV6

I think the arm is DKB500060PMD but may have been superceded by now, linkage was DLS500030 now LR038347 will double check numbers later.
