oil pressure gauge port

3.0 Diesel, is there a point where a pressure line can be tapped into on the engine close to the oil pump?
Theory is to have a discreet oil pressure gauge to keep an eye out.
Alternative is to use the oil pressure reading from OBD port but im not sure where this reads from.

Thanks Andy I can see it on my Diag app but agree, I cant find any with a gauge with a ODB plug so will have to go for a new pickup position,
Found a discreet place to locate a small gauge so not to ruin the OE look and get a small loom to the engine bay but pick up point the pressure is my concern.
Ill do some research and feed back.

The reasoning behind this is to hopefully spot any potential oil pump issues as they happen rather than after the noise starts Big Cry Plus its time to start a new project - the devil makes work for idle hands.

Most people make an adaptor, to plug into the original port ontop of the head, at the front.
The video shows this.

Ill do it with fittings rather than a mani block but will post some pics.

Electric oil pressure gauges are notoriously inaccurate ..better to have a mechanical one with a pipe.
The OBD will not read oil pressure as there is no sensor on the engine..only an oil pressure SWITCH. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

You need an adaptor (loads on ebay) to go in the oil pressure switch hole but as I dont have a V8 I cannot look what space you have Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.
