Dreaded suspension fault

Hi guys recently my yellow suspension warning light (the yellow one with the arrows by the side) turns on intermittently and a message is displayed on the screen with suspension fault. When the light is turned on the suspension is fully disabled and the RRS will stay on the same height position it was last on. Also the suspension button to raise and lower the RRS is also disabled with no lights on the button and the car will make a pinging noise when pressing the button when trying to make it rise or lower.

It will work again but only after turning the ignition on and off a few times and car will rise up to standard from access height by then light will come on again.

Ive changed the brake light switch as I thought this was the culprit as it happened about a year ago and that seemed to have cured it but didnt work this time so I replaced it again just in case the first one was faulty, I cant change the brake light bulb as I have the newer led type lights and no faults have been stored after plugging it into a diagnostic machine.

The air compressor turns completely off when the suspension light is on but operates perfect when light suspension fault light is off.

Any help will be appreciated Thumbs Up RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED

It could be a few things, most likely is a height sensor isn't right (check the 4x4 info and see if one wheel is showing as being high/low), another posability is that the steering angle sensor is out of alignment.

Rather than guessing though it's best to read the fault codes.

Sorry, I hadn't read your post properly and missed that no codes are stored. Embarassed

The sensors wouldn't need to flash to be out of calibration, look and see if one (or more) are showing a different height to the rest. if it's reading the wrong height, you'll find you have problems when you put it into access or off-road height.

just checked the 4x4 screen and all the height are displaying the same in all 3 height settings.

The problem is the air compressor completely switches off when the yellow warning lights comes on Big Cry RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED

Is the car sat on level ground and is the car itself sat level (measure from tyre to wheel arch) ?

It's starting to look more like the steering angle sensor though. Does the light come one if you leave the vehicle running but don't move ?

The car is on level ground and all the tyre to wheel arch measurements measure the same height whichever height setting it is on.

The warning light comes on random times, sometimes as soon as you start the car or when driving it will randomly just come on and stay on. Sometimes it will stay off when starting but as soon as you press the suspension button the light will turn on. Sometimes when the warning light is on while driving it will turn itself off on its own so very confused Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

How do I sort out the steering angle sensor? RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED
