I drove an F Pace with the 3.0SCV6 back to back with a 3.0 T Diesel in December as I am looking for a new SUV as a 3rd car. Yes, the torque is good in the F Pace Diesel and engine is quite smooth but I still preferred the SC, sound and drive. Personal preference of course but I don't see myself ever going back to diesel.

Wilf, I wondered the same when I read R.A.G.'s post, I think the diesels could be about to get a hammering, maybe worse to come with the PHEV version coming too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

There is a brief test of the RRS V6S/C in this week's Autocar magazine ..................... "this engine is hard to justify in the RRS when the diesels are so good." Basically it is catering to a niche market - it is very quiet but it has to be revved hard to get the best out of it and then it is noisy but without the fun of the F Type Jaguar's version of the same engine. They say the V6 & V8 diesels or the V8S/C's are a better option even though they are more expensive. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
