Anyone driven a 3.0s/c back to back with the 3.0 diesel?

The diesel torque seems to do all the work, and the published figures show the petrol car as marginally slower?

What is the real life difference?

Seriously considering this in the next one for me. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I have driven the F-Pace with the 3.0 S/C V6 at ride and drive event. Spent a good hour with it on open roads. At the time my car was a Macan GTS with a Turbo 3.0 V6. My thoughts were that it didn't sound that great, no F-Type purr to it. Sounded tinny and after a test drive in the V6 F-Type it too needed to be revved all the time and the gearbox was always changing down as soon as you wanted slightly more. #irritating

All in all not that great imho, prefer the SDV6.....or V8.

Try before you buy, in the heavy RRS not so sure it will be any good. Gone:

2015MY Disco Sport HSE
2011MY FL2 HSE

I have asked my dealership to let me know soon as they have a RRS with that engine in that I can try.

After years in diesels, it feels strange to let an engine rev out to get to the meat of the power band.

And the last petrol I had was so big it had torque from tickover anyway. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
