Wow, you took the cats off? How much of an improvement did you see? Is that something not checked on an MOT?

Wouldn't bother with the redex just use shell nitro or equivalent. It fails MOT without the cats you have to remove the guts but leave the housing then the tester is none the wiser.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
2009 TDCi 90 current
2018 Discovery 5 HSE lux current

Took the cats out and had it mapped and gained about 1.5mpg more. Worked manually not by the liar inside the dash!
The cats on a tdv8 are behind a cover anyway, the tester would have to be keen to notice them missing spiteful Range Rover Sport tdv8

I don't have one, considering trading in my D4 for a TDV8, so I'm doing research Smile

22-24 mpg, I would get more but the Censored is always roaring away from the lights, lives in the 3rd lane and generally behaves like a hooligan Wink 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

What's the performance figures like?

Coming from a m3, I know it's not as raw and quick, but please tell me it's got more grunt than a disco I had, r reg argyle, back in the day

I dont commute mine or use it much around town

On the motorway it averages 28-30mpg and in general shows 24mpg on the trip computer

If I used it for the school run it would be a lot less Smile

When in top condition, the TDV8 would be 0-60 in 8.5sec. In gear times are more impressive than that figure suggests, however. It's still good when you consider it's hauling 2.6 tonnes around. Bear in mind that the 3.0SDV6 was basically as quick (in 0-60 terms) as the TDV8 because it was a touch lighter and nearly as grunty.

If you want M3 levels of performance then buy an M3. Or a 5L supercharged RRS...0-60 in 6 seconds is probably "adequate" Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
